SYSTEM THINKING

PROJECT

OBJECTIVES

Humanly was the Information Design 2018 capstone project. This project focused on global issues that have been recognized by the UN in their Sustainable Development Goals. These 18 categories / goals were then applied to local issues found in Calgary that needed deconstructing to find the root issues.

This piece focuses on homelessness in Calgary and the cycle that many homeless individuals may take during their lives. There are multiple layers that make up this system, that when mapped together, depict where weaknesses lie within our system here in YYC.

The goal of this infographic is to visually display a complex topic and multiple levels of information. This project was a mulit-step process that required intensive research, interviewing matter experts, digesting and unraveling sub issues and then creating an effective visual system.
